Nancy interviews Sr Magdalen Sheehan at St Marys church Motuti on the return of the much revered Bishop Pompellier to his final resting place in Motuti Northland Hokianga. The Bishop was much loved by the early Maori treating them with respect and dignity and bringing Catholicism to Northland in the mid 1800s. He was present at the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840 and there insisted on "freedom for all religions in New Zealand" be part of the treaty....very relevant when we think back what happened in Christchurch on March 15.
