Common legal words

Migrants have to fill in many official forms and documents before and after they arrive in NZ. When you see a Justice of the Peace, a lawyer or your Immigration Agent you'll hear legal words such as statutory declaration, affidavit, affirmation and so on. Before you sign anything, listen for many of the common legal words and what they mean in plain English.
